Production Supervisor

Consumer packaged foods organization, seeks a Production Supervisor, for their FDA processing/packaging facility in Indianapolis.   With major employers in automotive, food/beverage manufacturing, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and property management, Indianapolis is “ready to prove it belongs in the big leagues.”

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for establishing and achieving production goals, fostering relationships, promoting health and safety, and development of well-trained and motivated staff on the 2nd or 3rd shift, non-rotating, one or the other.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates daily inventories and supplies and other operational activities within or between departments.
  • Plans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
  • Inspects materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
  • Conducts employee training in equipment operations and work and safety procedures or assigns employee training to experienced workers.
  • Reads and analyzes charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
  • Document all records outlined by company policies, such as production records, HACCP, good manufacturing policies, standard operating procedures, and food safety and quality plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, or chemical) or Bachelor’s Degree in Management (Manufacturing, Operations, or Project).
  • Minimum of five years experience in Production Supervision AND Beverage Manufacturing
  • Experience working in a liquid fill processing/packaging setting is required

Position:

  • 2nd shift is 2:00pm-10:30pm or 3rd Shift is 10p-6:30a but Supervisor will work M-F.  One WILL NOT rotate between the two shifts.
  • Compensation can go up to $88,000/year, depending on experience, plus bonus potential of 10%
