Tooling Engineer

This privately held injection molding plastic manufacturer is on the hunt for a Tooling Engineer. This company can provide a role that provides work life balance at a facility that operates from Monday to Friday with 8-hour shifts. They put a high emphasis on ethics of their employees and are looking for career driven professionals that put a high value on doing what is right for their team, company, and their customers. They are a growing company with 3 sites, the most recent being a new plant in KY. But they have a rural/family feel to their facility while still being able to support major OEMs.
To be successful as a Tooling Engineer, you should demonstrate superb attention to detail and be able to manage your time efficiently. Outstanding Tooling Engineers should be deadline-driven, meticulous, and consistently produce high-quality work.
Responsibilities:
- Using CAD to analyze existing tooling designs and improve on them.
- Developing blueprints for new Tooling designs as per client or project specifications.
- Sharing designs with colleagues and implementing any relevant feedback in the new designs.
- Developing prototypes and testing new designs.
- Carrying out quality assurance tests on new designs.
- Scheduling meetings with management and marketing personnel as required.
- Keeping abreast of developments in the Engineering field by expanding networks and attending events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- The ability to work independently and to collaborate with others.
- Practical experience using CAD and AutoCAD software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.
- A good eye for detail
- The ability to complete projects on time and to specification.
