Maintenance Manager

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the repairs, installations, and upkeep for a plastic film manufacturing plant. The position is responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance department. This includes managing the upkeep of all manufacturing assets, managing maintenance budget and resource, assisting in the design and installation of new systems, developing and training maintenance personnel, and communicating results to upper management. In addition, this position is responsible for managing multiple shifts of Maintenance Supervisors and Technicians.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees activities of maintenance personnel to ensure top operating condition of equipment and systems
  • Plans and coordinates all maintenance activities in the facilities including analyzing equipment needs, reliability issues, and developing preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
  • Ensures compliance with established safety, quality, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Provides work direction to maintenance supervisors and may provide supervision in supervisor's absence.
  • Identifies sources, secures quotes, issues purchase orders for spare parts and other materials and services required to support maintenance and production activities.
  • Identifies training needs, coaches, and develops maintenance personnel to support current and future business needs.
  • Prepares maintenance budgets and tracks costs.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Technology or related field preferred
  • Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience
  • Demonstrated interpersonal communication, organizational, prioritizing, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with Electrical and Mechanical systems and components in an industrial environment
  • Familiarity with Reliability Centered Maintenance approach to Asset Management (CMRP certification a plus)
  • Hands on experience in planning and overseeing maintenance operations
