Technical Customer Service Representative

Proven leader in the Midwest for Industrial Distribution as it pertains to rigging and lifting products.  75+ years in the industry, make them subject matter experts in what they do.  They seek a professional that can multi-task, be detailed oriented, and are a customer driven communicator that is computer savvy for their Indianapolis Branch.  Small office environment, reporting to the General Manager, with additional support from CSR Team in Fort Wayne.  Recent college graduates that are looking to gain industrial distribution/manufacturing sales experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working M-F 8:00-4:30pm
  • Enter new sales order & track their progress
  • Quoting parts
  • Data entry, fielding incoming customer calls, outgoing follow-up calls, etc.
  • Troubleshooting customer parts or product challenges to reach a positive resolution
  • Build working relationships with shop manager, technicians, external sales, customers, and vendors

Skills needed:

  • Can-do attitude
  • Team player mentality
  • Wear different administrative hats
  • Technology savvy MS Office plus will be trained on internal software

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree preferred
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a customer service/sales setting
  • Technical knowledge in hydraulics, pneumatics, industrial distribution, etc. is helpful
