Electronics Technician

The Electronics Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance and repairs to production machinery to ensure proper operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote a safe and clean work environment in compliance with company policies and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a professional work environment by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with co-workers and management.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, calibrating, verifying, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment.
  • Must be able to read/modify and understand blueprints, schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and PLC programming.
  • Solid knowledge of electrical systems including 480, 240 and 120 VAC power systems and 12-24VDC control systems.
  • Solid knowledge of installation and calibration procedures for sensors, switches, flow instrumentation and machine safety controls.
  • Installation and maintenance of network systems for industrial data transmission/communication
  • Complete all required paperwork in a CMMS work order system.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • AA Degree in Industrial Electronics/Electrical Engineering Technology, Certificates and work history as an Industrial Electronics/Instrumentation technician or completion and a Journeyman’s card holder of an approved apprenticeship in industrial electronics maintenance.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an electrical or electronics maintenance role within an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Own personal tools (e.g. hand tools, voltage or current meter)
  • Electrical Safety knowledge including Ach Flash Safety Training
  • Willingness to participate in additional training events of equipment and instruments.
  • Flexibility to work around production’s schedule with occasional emergency call ins outside of regular schedule shift work
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with good troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills
