Process Engineer

My client has carved outa unique niche in the plastic injecting molding industry developing custom plastic wheels. With over 30 presses with varying tonnage, this facility has a wide range of capabilities to service all their customer needs. This group is looking to bring in a Process Engineer order to help with new product launches, reduce scrap and increase throughput. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and document process for new products
- Run all samples for new products, samples and design changes
- Provide assistance and guidance to Technicians to ensure a productive and quality driven work environment
- Monitors work progress and provides work direction with knowledge of individual strengths and abilities
- Provides ongoing training in the development of current Technicians
- Assists with developing training documents and recommends improvements for training program.
- Acts as a technical resource to all employees
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives
- Promotes safety within the organization
- Ensures internal and external procedures are being followed
- Provides feedback to Plant Manager and other leaders
- Conducts safety audits, identifies risks and opportunities, and takes actions to countermeasure.
- Sets a positive example to others and demonstrates the company’s values in their daily work.
- Identifies areas in need of training, and provides suggestions to leadership team/supervisors/management
- Ensure quality and capacity goals are met.
- Assists with Technician duties such as machine set ups, sampling, troubleshooting, and updating parameters.
Experience:
- Experience as a Process Engineer within injection molding industry
- Advanced knowledge of robots/PLC, including programing and machine set up
- Processing or Plastics degree/certificates preferred
- Experience with decoupled molding and other molding techniques
- Ability to work with customers
- Previous training experience
- Proficiency in using Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Advanced knowledge of robots/PLC, including programing
- Highly organized with ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
- Reliable attendance record
