Sr. Quality Engineer

·         Are you capable of helping develop test procedures and directing /setting up Lab and Quality Test Equipment to measure results?

Desired Skills and Experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Field Engineering teams to identify and improve product warranty programs.

·         Work closely with Engineering to identify Key Product Characteristics required for Quality Testing.

·         Develop and coordinate the implementation of specific quality tools (DFMEA, APQP, PPAP, 8D, SPC, etc.)

·         Investigate and reduce supplier non-conformances.

·         Evaluate product testing / quality certification lab equipment needed to meet rigorous quality guidelines.

·         Work with Corporate Quality and Engineering teams to qualify, audit, approve, train and support a world-class Quality System

·         This role will require between 10-15% travel

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

BS Degree in Engineering

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skill.

·         Proven knowledge and execution of Quality tools (DFMEA, APQP, 8D, SPC, PPAP and Root Cause Analysis.)

·         Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an Engineering or Quality role.

·         Working Knowledge of Quality/Reliability tools.

·         Six Sigma or ASQ Certification and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Systems.
