Operations Manager - Distribution Center

The qualified applicant will possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in managing either the entire inbound or outbound departments in a large retail distribution center. This person must have prior experience overseeing a group of at least 60 people. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required, as the client is looking for a strong candidate to promote into upper management in the near future. Further preference will be given to candidates who are relocate-able as we are seeking to open 4 new DC’s in the upcoming 4 years.



The hired candidate will be responsible for managing inbound or outbound processing across their shift in a 1 Million Sq Ft regional distribution center. In addition, the successful applicant will be accountable for the coaching, managing, and production of around 80-100 associates and their respective supervisors. This person will report to the Assistant General Manager.

My client is a Fortune 500 organization who is thriving in the current marketplace. Their sales were up over 5% last year and their income increased by 10%. They have new leadership and therefore a new attitude toward distribution and know there are improvements to be made and are looking for the right people to help make them. There are currently two DC’s in start-up mode underway and we need our future leaders. Additionally, this is not an online retailer so hours are family-friendly.
