SUMMARY: Reports directly to the Director of Operations and is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating strategies to always improve customer service and operational efficiencies’. Supply Chain Manager is also responsible for the integration, coordination, and synchronization of all the activities related to supply chain that guarantees the best customer service.


  • Develop, standardize, optimize the logistic process and the equipment (people, own assets, third party assets) needed to comply with the service level agreed with customers.
  • Guarantee on time ingredients, packaging and other supplies with the minimum possible level of inventory.
  • Develop with supplier’s best practices strategies to guarantee the most competitive advantage for the supply chain.
  • Efficient management of ingredients and packaging material storages to guarantee the appropriate movements from them to the production floor.
  • Plan, program and follow up to the production schedule efficiently using the resources with the objective of doing it at the lower cost possible and the best service level.
  • Responsible for Supply Planning – coordinate, lead and execute the production planning of the plant(s) with the execution of the MRP.
  • Support the procurement process(s) via negotiation with suppliers, new product development, and supplier evaluation.
  • Support the warehouse process by helping the team to develop best practices to keep minimum levels of inventory.
  • Support the transportation and delivery process by understanding the transportation process and optimizing the use of our own fleet and third-party carriers.


  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with senior management, department managers, staff, hourly employees and the general public.
  • Proven track record of effective leadership in a multi-shift, multi-department food production plant.
  • Detailed knowledge of GMP’s in a food production environment
  • 5+ years management experience is required, bakery or cookie/cracker experience preferred.
